COMPUTER SERVICES
There's three possibilities for your (ISP) Internet Service Provider. Dial up, DSL or Cable Modem.
(1) Regular phone line. (dial up) This is the slowest option. A computer with a dial up modem interfaces with your ISP using regular phone lines. This ties up your phone for incoming calls as nothing can use this line when you’re connected. Depending on the type of Internet business you build, you may consider installing extra phone lines. Besides your regular phone line consider, one for business calls, one for a dedicated fax and another for an Internet line. Later you may need to add a second incoming business phone as business increases. This could involve 3-4 additional incoming lines, so plan ahead when deciding on equipment.
(2) DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) runs through regular phone lines. This method moves data over regular phone lines. A DSL Hi-speed connection is much faster than a regular phone connection, and wires coming into the subscriber's premises are the same copper wires used by your regular phone service. Not everyone can install DSL, as the limitation is the distance you're located from one of their towers.
(3) Cable modem. Check with your local cable company to see if this is available in your area. This can be a very viable Hi-speed solution and eliminates the need for one of the phones required above.
Everyone needs an (ISP) Internet Service Provider but pricing varies greatly the same as data transfer speeds. If you decide to use a dial up service, this company’s regular service is $9.95 per month. At $14.95 per month, this ISP offers service claimed to be 5 times faster than using your existing phone lines. This company has been doing a lot of TV ads recently. I would NOT recommend using AOL when building your Internet website business.
A Web Hosting Service is needed where you "park" your website. This one costs $7.95 per month based on an annual payment and includes a money back guarantee. You get 800 mb of storage plus a bandwidth of 40 gb. (Bandwidth is the amount of traffic occurring between your web site and the internet) Web page downloads including graphics, e-books, and e-mails, add up to determine total “bandwidth” usage per month.
Go Daddy is where you register your URL address needed for a web site. URL addresses appear as: www. (your-name) .com (without the spaces) and (your-name) is the name you've selected for your web site that you'll need to register. Many other extensions besides a .com may be available for the name you chose such as .biz, .info, .net, .org or others. After selecting the URL, figure less than 1 hour for approval. Then another 24-48 hours for activation by GoDaddy before you can move your domain from their site to your web host.
When researching for the availability for your URL or web address, go to http://www.whois.sc. They have a neat little tool that allows you type in a name you're interested in to see if it's available. Not only that, but it shows you other names that include the name or is close to the name you've selected. It will show up to 100 additional suggestions. Including the availability of all extensions. Use this to help find the best name for your web site. Cost for a “private” domain from Go-Daddy is about $12 or $9 for a regular public domain at the time of this writing.
An Internet Merchant Account is needed when processing credit cards, debit cards or checks on line. This will require a Secure Payment Gateway if you intend to use a shopping cart, for security reasons. Shopping Cart information shown below already provides a secure, encrypted, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) payment gateway to send credit card information to the Internet Merchant Account.
The application fee for Visa and MasterCard setup is $125.00 which is refundable if your application is rejected. Visa and MasterCard charges 2.39% plus a .30 cents transaction fee, a $10.00 per month gateway fee and a $10.00 per month statement fee. Figure 1-2 hours to setup and becoming operational.
When going to this site, click on "Internet/Mail located at the top of the page in the black area. At the left of the page that comes up, is a menu. #2 gives their rates and fees, #4 gives set-up costs and # 6 is the application that begins the process. This company can help with setting up not only major credit cards, but debit cards and electronic checks. They will assign someone who will walk you through the entire process.
A direct application for American Express cards can be done through their web site. You can contact them at: http://home5.americanexpress.com/merchant/accept/getstarted.asp where you can apply on-line. Upon finishing the application process, they send your merchant number by e-mail which can be put either into the Shopping Cart programming or into PC Charge Pro. You'll need to set-up a business checking account before you apply. I suggest reading this about American Express direct Internet accounts before you apply.
Other information American Express will request from you is; estimated annual sales, average ticket size, where are you located (home or commercial location), bank information such as ABA or Routing number and your account number. They’ll ask for your social security number and how long you’ve been in business. Then they'll have you sign an on-line agreement before issuing your merchant number.
Credit Card Processing Program - This is a program for those processing credit cards manually through your computer. This is a windows based software using your computer's modem. Customer’s credit card information is typed into the applicable boxes on the screen and then submitted. The program activates your modem and within seconds the transaction is completed and receipts are printed. One receipt for your records and the other for the customer.
Current charge is $299.00 and is available from the same company as the Internet Merchant Account listed above. The option to obtain this program is on their on-line application form.
This program contains a fraud protection system called AVS, (Address Verification System) that checks the billing address and zip code (where the statement is sent) of the card holder. Card numbers can be stolen but not having addresses printed on credit cards, helps prevent losses through fraudulent purchases. Figure 2 hours for setup and becoming operational.
This Counter Program tells how many people have come to your website, what pages they viewed and how long they stayed. It shows which keyword phrase brought them to you plus hundreds of statistics, including search engine referrers, client information and more. Receive e-mail alerts when traffic spikes. Pricing starts at $9.95 per month for their Pro Version for 1,000 hits and progresses to $99.95 for 200,000 hits. A great way to watch your search engine optimization results. This is a must have product. A trial version is available.
Their Enterprise Edition includes all of Pro's features plus e-commerce tracking of pay-per-click and other campaigns all the way to orders and revenue. You can see how many bought from each web page and how much they spent. Track each page's effectiveness by figuring the percentage of those looking to those buying. This will let you know which ads to change or drop. Figure 1- 2 hours to learn and apply html to web pages.
PROGRAMS
Frontpage is a popular Microsoft program used for designing web pages. (Approximate cost from this supplier is $170 and you receive free shipping) When using FrontPage, you arrange the wording and graphics visually on the screen. Pages are designed by the WYSIWYG (“what you see is what you get”) method. Place copy and graphics where you want on the screen while making fonts any color or size. No need learning how to write html. While you design web pages that look good, the program writes the html for you in background. Figure 40 hours to learn this program.
Some web designers prefer a program called Dreamweaver which also has many templates available. (Costing approximately $202 and includes free shipping)
For those not wanting to learn to build web pages, this is something really simple. Get web pages that's completely finished except for the copy from Template Monster. Many templates are available as finished web pages with the layout, artwork and colors completely designed. Just add your copy and any special graphics. Simple to do while at the same time providing a great web page layout that's inexpensive. Templates are compatible with both FrontPage and Dreamweaver. About 200 templates are priced under $10 so it’s worth a look. FrontPage or Dreamweaver will still be needed.
Corporate Identities provides company logos, adding professionalism that will enhance your web image. For about $25-$35 you can purchase a neat logo or corporate image from this company. Look up towards the top of their home page for corporate identity and click on that link. You'll need PhotoShop to add your company name and/or slogan or they'll do this for you at a fee.
Corporate Identities can cost from hundreds to thousands of dollars when having a professional graphic artist custom design one from scratch. This site has over 100 selections available. Others may purchase the same design as you're using and then add their own name and/or slogan. Chances of running into other companies using the same design is rather remote, but not impossible. Personally I wouldn't worry about it as the professional appearance of a logo like this on your site is well worth it.
Your purchase not only gets you the logo for your web site, but also artwork which is supposed to be for a letterhead, envelope and a business card. Only one problem, they don't provide color separations for the different colors needed for the stationary and business cards. Those type of jobs MUST be printed one color at a time by a commercial printer. The main logo may be used on your web site without problems.
If you decide to place an order for one of these, be sure you have PhotoShop on your computer. Or access to a graphic artist who can take the graphic files and make the name and/or slogan change for you. This company will put your name and slogan on all artwork for a fee of about $55. That's approximately $90 for a corporate logo for your company, which in reality is very inexpensive. As for the letterhead, envelope and business card layouts, you'll only be able to use them if you output direct to an inkjet printer.
I purchased a set of these for National Affiliates, Inc. for $35, then took them to Kinko's. There were able to add the slogan and company name to the one logo which I could use of a webpage, but were unable to open the other 3 files. Seems they are protected somehow and they couldn't figure out how. The charge from Kinko's was only $10, so for $45 I had a great logo with my slogan.
This is a highly recommended Shopping Cart. The basic package has a cost of $19 per month. This shopping cart has an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) which is the accepted standard for transferring data securely over the Internet. It encrypts information passed between the server and the browser so that unauthorized parties can't intercept sensitive, confidential or personal information. It is secured by Verisign.
Features in this package include a custom tax table, thank you page, shipping and handling charts, multiple payment options including Pay Pal, alternate options for declined orders, a pop up generator, and various ad tracking capabilities needed for cost saving ad decisions.
At $39 per month you receive all of the above features plus an autoresponder performing automatic capture of IP addresses. That allows for unlimited follow up email messages, utilizing automatic subscribe/un-subscribe processing, real time tracking, newsletter management and more.
At $69 per month you receive two additional features. This module gives real time reporting for you and your affiliates. The module can be set up for single or two tier commissions, customizable commission rates, credit affiliates for off-line sales, and offers support for multiple web sites.
This Shopping Cart's Digital Download Wizard is the world's smartest e-Book, Audio file integrator because it seamlessly works with any e-Book software. Software such as Adobe Acrobat™, Real Audio™ files, and even video files up to 4 megs in size! Figure 2-6 hours setup time.
ClickBank is a online distribution center for over 10,000 digital products and services delivered entirely over the Internet. To use ClickBank you must agree to sell them access to your digital product. Then place a "Buy It At ClickBank" button on your web site and offer detailed technical support pages for your product on your website.
When a customer is sent to them from your website, they sell immediate access of your digital product to the customer that when paid for, can be downloaded within minutes. They have over 100,000 affiliates that can promote and send customers to your website on a commission basis if you allow them. You're able to recruit new affiliates from your own web site, which are then sent to ClickBank for sign up. They provide you and any affiliates with real-time sales reporting from their website and send out paychecks twice each month.
Using ClickBank for a digital product means not having to set up an account to accept credit cards or be involved in the sales. Customers can pay using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Eurocard, Bravo, Visa Debit, MasterCard Debit, or Novus. Customers in the U.S. can pay by online check. ClickBank takes care of the sales, sends clients to the download file and handles the paperwork. You set the suggested retail price for your product when you sign up. Each time your product is sold, they pay you the selling price less $1 + 7.5% and the affiliate their commission.
ClickBank has a one-time $49.95 activation fee, but no monthly fees.
An Auto Responder from this company costs a little less and has some unique differences. You can choose the perfect return address for your program from a list of different email addresses. By selecting different addresses, it's easy to track where prospective customers are coming from. For example if someone requests additional information: your-name@DetailsInstantly.com could be used.
Costs are dependant on the length of time paid. The more time paid for up front, the lower the monthly cost. Starting at $17.95 per month, $47.85 quarterly, $87.70 semi-annual or $145.40 annually. (yearly amortized cost is $12.12 per month) Figure 6-8 hours learning time. For more details go to Chapter 27.
This S. E. Optimizer is a software that tracks the requirements for search engine optimizing by performing a search engine compliance check much like a HTML validator. Instead of validating HTML source code, this program checks for search engine compliance issues. It gives the latest optimization tips currently being used by professionals.
This program checks 62 things on each page that MUST be checked before submitting to a search engine. Create your web page, load into this program and click start. Immediately discover what adjustments must be made for every major search engine before submitting. Cost at time of writing was $149 and comes with free updates for 1 year. This is one of those must have tools for serious S.E. optimizers. Figure 5-7 hours learning.
E-books are great for digital self publishing. Unlike publishing a book in the real world, e-book publishing can be quick, easy and very profitable. Electronic publishing is done with ease giving you complete control over everything. No handling, no stocking costs, no shipping, no inventory, and you keep 100% of the profits. E-books are taking the Internet by storm. They're the number one choice for distributing information, and that's what the Internet's all about.
Examples of e-books are: booklets, manuals, documents, special reports, tutorials, newsletters, courses, instructions, presentations, journals, sewing tips, arts and crafts, gardening, canning, skin care, weight loss, self improvement, health and fitness, animals and pets, dog training, dating, relationships, divorce, traveling, home decorating, home remodeling, plumbing, home buying, the possibilities are endless. There’s a huge market for information and it's constantly growing.
This e-book compiler's called E-Book Gold. Make any number of e-books with customizable e-book labeling such as titles, author, description and a clickable e-mail address. Your e-book can have a personalized icon that when clicked on will open up the e-book for people to read. Add graphics, scripts, Flash, Shockwave, DHTML, xml and even true type fonts to make your e-book more professional.
You get to decide how your e-book looks using it's customized interface, including shape, size and color. You're can disable a reader’s right click button to prevent source viewing and text copying. An optional embedded encryption feature can lock your e-book requiring the use of a password for any or all pages. This program works with the above shopping cart and its digital download feature. Cost's about $97 and comes with a 6 month guarantee. Learning time is 3-5 hours.
This second solution is E-Book Pro Compiler that contains the features as the above compiler but with a few additions. You can add video and audio presentations. This program contains an interesting feature that controls access to your e-book for those trying to cheat the system, or should I say you. After a sale is made and the e-book is downloaded, what keeps the customer from stealing your product by copying and pasting your information into their own web site, then asking for a refund?
Using this complier can make your information burglar-proof, so it can't be stolen or resold by others. This software, provides a password protected website, specifically designed for your e-book. To view, an activation code must be used. Only requests coming from their e-mail address allows access to the e-book so no password sharing. They're not allowed to copy and paste and the control C key won't work. Neither will their right mouse button allow copying.
You’re given 1,000 five year activation codes that's needed to un-lock access to the e-book. If someone bounces a check, charges back on their credit card, or if a customer asks for a refund, no problem, simply deactivate their access code.
Even if you decide to give away your e-book, audio or video presentation, you control everything. This software can save thousands of dollars in lost revenue. If you need more activation codes, purchase an additional 1,000 at .10 cents each. Learning time is 3-5 hours. Program cost is $197 at time of writing.
This Ranking Software shows exactly where you rank on any search engine for each of your keywords. All U.S. and most foreign search engines are supported by this software. This program is search engine friendly and acts just like a web browser to search engines. Some ranking software is not recommended for use with some of the search engines like Google, but this one is. Learning time is 1-3 hours.
This program is very easy to setup for use for all keywords within your website, and is lightning fast compared to others. Finding where each keyword is ranked on search engines manually would literally take weeks if not months. This program is an absolute must for search engine optimization. Without such a program, there is no way to find the overall positioning for each of your web pages which is so crucial to your success. The approximate cost of this program is $180 and worth every penny. Download their free trial and give it a try.
Web Position Gold 3 is another program capable of searching keyword positioning using their "Reporter" programming. Reporter checks your site’s positioning for keywords on 103 U.S. global and regional engines. It lists the position of the keyword, 1 through 30, and the page it’s on. It can compare position changes since the last running, your URL the keyword was found on, and the 1st, 5th, 10th, 20th and top 30 positions for each keyword. This program is somewhat intrusive by it's requesting methods for information from the search engines. Reporter is slower than ranking manager, but their Page Critic is great.
Page Critic supplies advice on optimizing new or existing web pages. This feature helps build top ranking pages for each of the top search engines without spamming or abusing the engine’s requirements.
Other features include: Traffic Analyzer, Scheduler, Upload Manager, Page Generator and Submitter. Their standard program is recommended for website owners. For those doing S.E.O. work for clients needing to provide personalized reports, there is a professional model available. Cost currently is approximately $149. Learning time is 15-25 hours.
WordTracker is an unusual program for discovering the keywords people are using to find your product. Type in a root word and this program searches for all the variations (keyword or keyword phrases) that have been used to find that particular word. (product) The results show searches done recently by surfers using the most popular search engines, directories and pay per bid engines. You’ll be amazed at how many keyword variations can be found to describe your product.
Discover the number of requests made for any keyword or phrase over the short term (24 hours) or long term (60 days). The important thing is to see how many competing web pages are using that keyword. Look at an interesting index Wordtracker calls a KEI. (Keyword Effectiveness Index) It compares the number of times the keyword has been searched against the number of competing web pages, pinpointing which keywords will be the most effective.
Higher KEI results greatly improves odds for more sales for any keyword by bringing more visitors to your website due to less competition. You’ll have a better chance of getting that keyword listed on the top of search engine results.
Pricing is: 1 day - $7.57; 1 week - $25.22; 1 month - $50.45; 3 month - $124.32 & 1 year - $252.24. This cost fluxuates constantly due to the European Euro. A limited version is available as a free trial.
When I was first taught how to use this program, I was told to only use the root version of a word. Instead of Jobs, the root word would be job, singular. Let the program give you suggestions as to exact keywords. Try it and you'll see what I mean.
Here's a little trick I learned in a search engine workshop about WordTracker. Begin a search by going to the main home page. Under selection 5 go down and click on "comprehensive search". In the window that comes up, type in your root word. I suggest working with one word at a time even though it allows for multiple words. Do not use plurals, let the program make the selections. Leave the number in the drop box for results at 100, then click proceed. At the time of this writing there were over 335 million results in this database.
Notice when the program is finished finding the results, 100 suggestions came up showing numbers for count and predict. (click on those for definitions) Next, leaving all 100 boxes checked for this example, go to the bottom of the screen and click on option 2. A gray box appears allowing you select from Engines, Directories or Pre Paid Search Engines.
I suggest selecting MSN only and leave Yes in the two drop down boxes, then click proceed. Results will appear at the bottom of the screen showing the keyword, the KEI Analysis, Count, 24 Hours and Competing. Explanations for each are given by clicking on those highlighted words.
The Keyword is shown in the first column. Next is the KEI showing the success that keyword has when compared to the number of times it was searched for against the number of web pages using that keyword. The third column shows the number of searches for that keyword over a 60 day period (in this case only for MSN as that's the one we selected). The fourth column shows searches in the last 24 hours and the fifth and final column shows how many competing web pages are using that keyword. Those are your competition.
Remember this is only from one search engine. The key is to find a high KEI with a low Competing number of web pages. One where the 24 hour number is substantial. Find 5 to 10 of these keywords with high KEI's and build 5-10 web pages, each optimized to a particular keyword or phrase and you're ready to make money.
The really interesting thing is that WordTracker tells us anything that has a KEI between 40 and 100 is considered “Good” and anything 400 and better is considered “Excellent”. Be sure to keep that in mind.
Included in WordTracker is a feature showing the top 1000 most frequently searched keywords on the Internet. View either the short or long term lists. (explanations shown below) Use this report to spot sudden surges when they occur. This data is based on the last 24 hours of Metacrawler / Dogpile search queries and is updated every 24 hours. You may spot a sudden trend allowing you to fill an immediate need. By reacting quickly and building web pages offering that product or service, could be very profitable.
The short term takes all the words from the last 36 hours and collates them in a table. These reports update once a day and allow you to spot sudden surges in the words and increasing areas of interest.
The long term take the words that stick around from day to day. These words are taken from a much larger database. They are updated weekly and are rotated on a much larger cycle of 60 days (approx. 2 months).
More time has been spent on this section than on any other because keywords are the single most important aspect of a website. Learning to find the right keywords will be the key to your ultimate success, along with learning how to optimize your web pages for those keywords.
This program is very quick and easy to learn but figure on spending hours researching and becoming familiar with it's use. 3-5 hours would not be out of the realm of possibility.
Product Containers make a huge difference when it comes to selling an e-book, software program, a booklet or special report. Perhaps you offer streaming audio or video, e-zines, newsletters, a CD-ROM, music CD, or any information product. Showing your product in a box or holder helps increase sales. Consumers are hesitant to buy online as they prefer to see or touch a product before purchasing. On websites there's no tangibility which often impedes sales. Having a picture of your product certainly helps!
By using professional custom designed cover art that represents your offer, you gain an advantage. You'll make a visual impact on your audience. Custom dynamite covers demand attention.
Order one package cover and receive 2 sizes currently costing $99.95. Two are $169 and 3 covers in 2 sizes each is $249.95 at time of this writing. Covers come with a 30 day money back guarantee. You can download some sample covers to experiment with at no charge.
This Link Tool allows you to view in-coming links to your competition. Do A search of your top keywords, then look at the results. That tells you who your competition is. Begin working on what needs to be done to appear ahead of them in those search results. Start by putting more relevant incoming links on your own site. In some cases you may even be able to get links from the same sources they're using.
Links are extremely important to major search engines like Google who currently is the 800 pound gorilla in this industry. Linking strategy is an important factor in Google's algorithms which helps determine positioning for their search results. This program shows what attached link text is saying about you if anything. If a link is pointing at your site that contains no link text, you’ll be able to see that. Perhaps you can contact the web master of that site and have them add text, making that link relevant. Links with no link text is worthless.
This is one of those tools showing why your competition is appearing before you in search results so you can work on changing that. This is a tool you'd have to pry out of a web developer’s hands, it's that important. One of the ways to get to the top is to have more and better links than those in front of you. This program will help you accomplish that. Current pricing is around $180. Learning time is 6-8 hours.
This Keyword Analyzer Tool counts the keywords and keyword phrases on your web pages. It determines the keyword positioning, placement and density percentages that are optimum for any given search engine. If keyword density is too high then your page can be penalized in the algorithm scoring. Too low your page may be lost in obscurity.
Other considerations are the different “weights” for keyword components such as title, Meta tags, links, body text and headlines. This counts them all for you. What could take hours or days is done in seconds. When pages fall out of acceptable keyword density, simply make changes and rerun. See within seconds how those changes affected the results.
Try for 90 days and if you don’t like this program, your money is refunded with no questions asked. This is another one of those must have tools.
Graphic Size Reducer programs such as this reduces the kilobyte size of graphics. Pages must load quickly before visitors get impatient and click to the next search result. That's especially true for the nearly two-thirds of surfers using slow speed connections and don't like waiting. They'll just click away to the next result. Websites using a lot of graphics should seriously consider using this program. Try their free trial demo. Their current charge at time of writing was $49.95 for 1 year or $79.99 for a lifetime. Learning time is 1 hour.
CuteFTPFTP means File Transfer Protocol. This easy to use program is designed to transfer files from your computer to your web site. Whether publishing or downloading the latest digital images, music, software, or transferring large files between your home and office, CuteFTP works quickly and easily.
Connect using a step by step connection wizard. Store web sites in a build-in site manager address book. Transfer files one at a time or in a group by clicking and dragging. You can put files in a queue and transfer later. This popular program is used by millions worldwide. The program cost at time of writing was $41.99. Learning time is 1-2 hours.
Program comes in English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese. You can download a free trial.
Quick Invoicing - Invoicing & Purchase Orders written by hand is time consuming and very unprofessional. You can spend thousands of dollars developing a custom database to keep track of customers and print these types of forms. But here’s a much simpler, less expensive solution I’ve found that'll give professional looking results. Print directly from your computer to an ink jet printer. The neat thing is, you can apply your corporate logo in full color at the top. The Standard version is $49.99 or the Pro version is $79.99.
This program allows for customizing your company information, the type of form, heading terms, notes, your warranty policy, tax rates, or to print your return policy on right on the invoices. And these printed forms look great! Download a trial and give it a spin. It should take less than one hour to learn all you need to know.
BOOKS - NEWSLETTERS
Planet Ocean's publications are what most pros have been using over 7 years. Their book contains the most accurate, up to date search engine information in the business. Called The UnFair Advantage Book on Winning The Search Engine Wars it's considered the foremost guide for scoring at the top of search engines. The unique thing about this book is that it's periodically updated. It specifically identifies every known trick, technique and strategy for designing web sites that score in the top results.
You can download the book whenever it changes plus you'll receive 12 monthly newsletters. The book contains over 140 pages that's written in simple terms so anyone with basis HTML knowledge can understand and use. Virtually every professional search engine optimizer worldwide has read this book and subscribes to it. It has a six months money back guarantee. Cost is $97. This is a must have publication. Read time is 10-15 hours.
Permission E-mail Marketing is a step by step guide for developing email relationships that will greatly help your revenue stream. Here are some of the areas which are touched on.
This has a 1 year guarantee and comes with a lot of extra bonus items. Cost is $97. Read time 5-10 hours.
E-mail Sneak Peek allows you to check email messages before downloading. Are you afraid of downloading a virus? You should be, and without protection your computer system could crash wiping out everything on your hard drive. Sure your web site would still be up and operating, but you may have to completely reformat your hard drive plus reload every program. Always maintain computer protection by using a virus protection program from Norton or McAfee. Then you MUST stay current with periodic downloads of their updates. This is just an additional inexpensive way that adds a little more security.
This program allows you to view the messages you’re interested in and either forget the rest or delete them. You can delete an unusually large message or remove junk messages without opening them. (And believe me you’ll receive junk emails) Price of this handy tool is $20 and well worth it to be able to “sneak-a-peek”. Learn time is 1 hour.
Revenge of the Mininet by Michael Campbell is a really great e-book that I’ve read and I highly recommend it. Michael Campbell is one of those 5% super affiliates. His book shows ideas concerning a series of web sites linked together which he calls a Mininet. Each website's different but relevant to the next. Being linked, they form their own link popularity needed for top placement in search engines such as Google.
In this book is an interview where he's asked the type of questions someone just starting out would ask. Find what he has to say about cloaking your ownership of a web site and why. He'll tell you the pitfalls of owning multiple websites and many of the advantages. Listen to some interesting product suggestions he has, but more importantly, find the reason he recommends those type products. When I said listen, this is available as an optional MP3 download at no extra cost along with several of his other MP3's.
Once you begin to understand how the Internet works, this book will start making a lot of sense. You'll start seeing other ways to operate perhaps slightly different from his examples. This book makes you start thinking outside the box for using some of your own methods, you think could be successful. If you're considering multiple web sites or affiliate marketing, this is a must read. Costing under $80 this e-book has a 90 day no questions asked, love it or shove it, money back guarantee. I'm not kidding about his guarantee, look at his site and that's what it says. Read time is 5-10 hours.
